Dear All, I'm wondering if someone can help me with the following:

Bar/measure #60 of the Moonlight Sonata:

My question: If I read this correctly, I should play the same note (C) twice and simultaneously: as the first (quarter) note in the top bar, but also as the last note in the triplet in the bottom bar (top and bottom bars are in G and F clef). What am I not seeing/understanding?

What you're seeing is correct.  There are three "lines" in the movement and it just happens that occasionally they converge on the same note, as they do here.

You should have the pedal down, so to play it, you play the C again as the last note of the triplet.
