Hello everyone,
I am about to buy M-Audio ProKeys 88 88-Key Graded Hammer-Action Premium Stage Piano  ;), I have a feeling that it doesn't have on-board speakers. Am I right? I searched all over the internet, wasn't able to find a phrase such as "no on-board speakers" in the product descriptions. Having said that, there was also no talk about the speakers as well. Thanks.

Thanks lostinidlewonder, but my question remains unanswered, i wanted to know if the device have onboard speakers or you would have to connect it to external speakers to hear what is being played? Moreover, i dont think the piano in the video is same as this one https://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/ProKeys88.html...

In my search for a keyboard I came to conclude that if in the specs at all the web sites I visited, if built in speakers were not mentioned then there weren't any. under specifications they would list speakers by watts if there were any. I think this is the case that there are non with the Prokeys 88 as well. You should call one of the reputable retailers that still sells it and ask though ( Sweetwater or Kraft Music may still sell this, not sure. Musicians Friend doesn't)..

You can buy a set of M-Audio BX5-2D, 5" monitors for $299, add a couple of 1/4" cables and get far better sound than you would through built ins, FWIW ( way superior sound).

Have you read reviews about stuck keys after a couple of years use on these ? Just a heads up, not knocking the keyboard..
Depressing the pedal on an out of tune acoustic piano and playing does not result in tonal color control or add interest, it's called obnoxious.

I have never seen this keyboard in use on any stage. There must be some reason. It may not be gig worthy!
