Someone please ban him? This is the reason we need moderators. All he has been doing is annoying everyone and being generally useless.

Yes... she is rather annoying.  She types in all CAPS and confuses people by clogging the forum with old posts.  I think she is deliberatly trying to make people annoyed and angry.

There is no need for moderators or banning imho.

If you truly find someone’s post or thread useless and annoying, simply do not respond. The post/thread then dies of its own accord. It never fails. Eventually the poster him/herself goes (or changes attitude). Remember: to fight evil is to give it energy. Instead ignore it and do resolute progress on the way of good. :)

Best wishes,
Bernhard.

What is the big deal? One can ban anyone for oneself by not responding. Also, everybody is responsible for their own actions. One should not click on a link without knowing where it will lead to, particularly if it has been posted by someone who is not trusted (I actually chased that monkey around for a while - my computer is very secure - and I got a good kick out of it :) )

It is true, though, that infantile posts keep serious people away from a forum, so the quality of a forum goes down. I believe this is the case lately. I think the only thing we really need is to make sure is that the serious stuff goes in the right forums and to keep the BS in "Anything but piano". Yet, because there is so much piano-related BS, it would be great to have a dedicated "BS" category.  8)

I dont think we need moderators, but I do think (s)he should be banned for that  thread.  And considering his/her other posts, it only takes one person to change the tone of the forum.  Once you let one person act like that it could encourage more people to act the same way and it could end up driving away some of the "normal" people from the board.

Oh and it's hard to ignore 5000 "You are an idiot" dialogue boxes popping up on your screen  ;D

I was bored, so I chose to read through some of his posts.

https://pianoforum.net/smf/index.php?action=profile;u=1533;sa=showPosts

Since the beginning, he didnt really contribute anything, other than just yelling about how he wants people to get his bloody Opus Clavicembalisticum.

and now he is determined to keep whining about it long after its gone....

just ban him for being a belligerent moron!

i don't really remember him being annoying but after I looked at his past messages i agree with you, he should be banned, but it isn't up to me.

All the active members discuss him/her alot, I have seen many posts talking about the evil one.

I am fed up with Luda randomly creating  posts of:

.........................................

What is he trying to say? How is this relevant to the matter at hand? What a waste of space on this forum.

I assume he is trying to remind everybody that he is still waiting for a link to a recording and/or the score of the OC. I guess, the "..." would be his fingers impatiently tapping on his piano lid, anxious to play the OC.

Yes, this seems to be the case. But why can't he just take "no" for an answer?

Image of that cracked me up.  ;D

I actually took a look at his past posts and can't help agreeing with the majority here.
Another thing noted and worth mentioning is that he possibly isn't even looking for responses, his posts are so meaningless that they've been posted on impulse. Not looking for amusement, not looking to provoce, just same garbage as the small talk of socially challenged (social intelligence and tendancy to socially interact are usually indirectly proportional) people in general. In one of his posts though he announces his age to be 13½, so I say give him a chance (if he shows capability to self-develop).

Sorry to bring this dead thread back up, but to make a point:

I've seen you announce your age in several different occasions, how could I ever miss it? ;)

On a more serious note; people have different talents in different areas of intellect. Even if our friend luda888 is verbally and socially challenged, he might prove to be gifted in other areas, and it would be a pity if only the lack of talent in certain fields would get in the way of his chance to shine in others. Although this is (especially in this particular case) highly theoretical speak, it'd be good if people were a bit more capable empathetically and maybe a lot of misunderstandings could be avoided and personalities/their behaviour could be shaped towards the ideal through more constructive means than banning.

I hate to revive this thread too, but I also had a point.
