Hi, I'd love to hear your opinion on my Lacrimosa's interpretation.

This is a lovely transcription, and deserves to be better known. You play it well and bring out much of the emotional depth of the piece.
If I might make two suggestions, though. I think you are a little fast, which brings the sweeping nature of the piece in too narrowly. I also think you need to pay greater attention to some of the dynamic markings - there are sone stray arpeggios and you don't figure the two lnotes of the triplet figures in the right hand with enough difference. Some of them have a tenuto first and a staccato second, some are tied, some are not, some have a crescendo mark over them, some have an accent on the first note. Liszt did this for a reason, and attention to them will improve the piece no end.
A great job.

Thank you for your detailed review. I've checked the score and I'm now noticing all those markings you're speaking about. Your words will surely help me improve my playing

I've always disliked the build-up (0:27 - 0:53) - its not accurate to the original.

This is a lovely performance, well played.
If I could just say something, I would confer with j_menz, it needs to be slower, although not to slow it drags. It can do that on the piano, although it doesn't really drag when it is played by an orchestra. Also, if you played it slightly more softly, it would bring another dimension of emotion into the piece.
Well done!

Music is the greatest subsitute for words. In a life where we cannot succeed at work and we fail with women there is music which can tell anyone our words, words in which we want to scream but cannot!
