Too dark to skate? Dear me -- brings back college days (in Minnesota, USA -- where it really does get cold). I was accustomed to practice in the late evening -- 10 PM to 11:30 PM -- when I could use the chapel organ rather than one of the practice organs. And afterwards I would go skating for a while... just a few street lights on the campus. Never too dark to skate!
And by the way, r_4, I retract my statement about Rachmaninoff's first sonata being boring. I think I like it better than the second.
How about working on that Mysterium?
It's too cold to practice!
I believe the top of Mt Everest is also known to be a little chilly ofttimes. You'll need to get ready for that. Rather difficult to play in ski mitts.
Why not just turn the heat up?
To return to the main point, I maintain a list of unappealing tasks that I really should do. If I get bored, I do something from the list. I haven't been bored, ever, since I started it.
I don't feel like playing halo because my kill death ratio is dropping, and I think it's because of the TV screen. It's too dark, and I'm used to playing on my friends giant projector.

I didn't know I was annoying, sorry.
I'm not implying that .. You could if you want to, though.Any solutions yet for your boredom?
There always seem to be plenty of jobs and duties around the house and section which need doing. Boredom is not an option for me. Lawns need mowing, garden needs weeding, house needs vacuuming and cleaning, something always seems to go wrong and need fixing, various wooden bits need painting, tap washers need replacing, outlets unblocking.....there is never an end to it. I haven't experienced idleness for ages.
