Which one is harder and why?

Hello :)

I am assuming you are talking about opus 79.  I can't say for sure because I have only played the second one, but from what I have heard I think most people feel the first is more difficult.  Of course it is different for every person.  Personally I felt that the second one had no real technical difficulties.  It has a couple jumps but there is plenty of time to get there. I felt like it was more of a just "learn it and play" piece.  The hardest part for me was probably the fact that it changes keys like 4 times.  It took me a while until I wasn't mixing up keys lol.  I know the first has some fast runs.  Those might take some practice.  I don't know much about it though.  But I do know that the second is a blast to play  :D

Technically the first is more difficult, but I concur that the second is a blast to play.

I love Brahms!!!!!!! yes the 1st one is more demanding.....but worth the effort and great for developing musicality and technique. I love playing the 2nd.....lots of things to learn there too. Have a look at the Op. 119 Rhapsody or the Scherzo. Enjoy!

B minor is harder.. but not impossible.  It helps to have big hands since there are some passages that require you to play rather large chords.  I personallly like the B minor Rhapsody more.  I played it about 12 years ago.
