The Prodigy Who Saw Into the Future – Lili Boulanger’s Piano Music

A teenage girl with forward-looking ideas, Lili Boulanger had enough determination to successfully navigate the competitive, patriarchal, and conservative music scene of Paris. Anyone read this book?
on: January 29, 2013, 07:57:37 PM
I've recently taken up playing again after a fairly lengthy break.  I have resurrected my collection of Michael Aaron piano course books which I rate very highly but was looking for a book to help with practice routine.

So, has anyone read this book?:

Playing the Piano for Pleasure: The Classic Guide to Improving Skills Through Practice and Discipline  by Cook

If you have I would appreciate your views and any other book recommendations of a similar type.

Thanks

I have read the book and found it helpful. I purchased the paper back version  on Amazon for a pretty reasonable price. It was recommended by Bruce Potterton, the director of Summerkeys when I was there last year.

Thanks for the replies.

I have ordered a copy from Amazon, if it is as good as some of the reviews on there indicate it will be money well spent.
