Cool, but... where is the variations?From what I hear, it's a theme with ornaments, and one variation..?

It would more be a rearangement than a series of variations then.

No, but.. I like the idea, but I would just do some more work on it. Maybe play the theme more simple, and then make the first variation (your theme) and the one after that just a bit more developed and longer. Then you'll need maybe one or two more variations, and it can be a real crowdpleaser.
