These days my piano teacher keep saying that i didn't count on my how many beats when i am playing a piece...but i can't really know how to control it~~ when crochet arrives i play like staccato and when minim comes i play like semibreve...=='' help me....if not i can't really move on to my next piece~~ :( :(

Use a metronome and play beginner books to help overcome this problem.

Staccato is let go the instant the note is played and a normal crotchet is held for slightly longer.

Well... technically I'd say staccatissimo would be closer to that definition, but I get what you're trying to say.
