OMG!   Where did you get that?  That's no pirate recording.  In fact, it sounds like the mike was right under the keys.  It certainly doesn't sound like it did from the audience.  I can sort of imagine it listening to this, but you actually couldn't hear individual notes, and they were practically all piano.  Thanks for posting this!  Where did you get it?

I got a 10cd set years ago in italy . Some of the recordings have a good sound,some not so good. all of them have artistic and historic importance. The box set was distributed by Membran International (Hamburg) INFO@membran.net or in Italy-ITA@membran.net.I'm not sure they still have this 10cd set but they do have some great stuff.

I've been relistening to this and you know what it's like?  Like looking close up at a pointilistic painting. Like seurat... You can't really make out what's  going on until you step back.

If you hadn't old us this is Michelangeli, I would have thought it was Lazar Berman. He had EXACTLY the same approach to this piece.
