Jazz/Rock/Blues Piano Solo for Recital?
on: February 12, 2013, 12:16:49 AM
Hello,

I have been playing piano for a few years now, and I am looking for a good piece to play at my spring piano recital. For a skill-level reference, at my last recital, I played "The Storm" by Friedrich Burgmuller at full tempo, so I am around that level. I am already doing another classical piece, a sonatina in a-minor, but for my other piece I would like to play something kind of jazzy or blues-y. Do you guys have any recommendations for my skill level?

Thanks so much,

I'm sure there are other people here more qualified to help you, but as no one has answered this yet and I hate to see a lonely post I'd suggest maybe some Ellington, possibly Solitude or Mood Indigo, or Fats Waller's Stardust, all fit the jazz/blues vibe, though as I said, I'm no expert!
Currently learning:
Mendelssohn 19/6           Chopin 28/4
Satie Je Te Veux            Rach C#m
Poulenc Bal Fantome       Chopin 28/20
Schubert Serenade         Chopin 15/3
Chopin 10/9
