study or not
on: February 16, 2013, 11:25:50 PM
hey guys!
i need your opinion about something:
i am going to turn 18 this summer and i have had piano lessons since I was 7 till last year (teacher failed and dismotivated me). so i had a break of half a year. now i have some new projects an i am thinking about future.
What shell i do??

at the moment i study: mephisto from liszt. romanze from dvorak and i repeade some easiers like parts of the mondschein 3nd or alla turka for my speed i need for liszt.

there are 2 opionions: turn back to another teacher in the music school and stay there or prepare for the university 2014 (with or without a teacher don´t know eighter)

I would be grateful if you have some helpful tips to decide.
greetings

Def do it with a teacher. Talk with a couple about your goals and ambitions and prepare an audition for the teacher.

thanks for advidse. i also tend to do so. but i have time since july to decide what to do.
for the uni (mozarteum) i am to late for starting in autumn.

but there is a preparation year at this uni:
there you have to play:
a) 1 Etude
b) 1 polyphones Werk
c) 1 classicl Sonate (1. Satz)
d) 1 Werk nach Wahl (Romantik oder Moderne)

ideas which pieces to take? i have 3 month time to learn all 4 ...

thanks
