Chopin Concertos!!!!
on: February 17, 2013, 01:02:37 AM
I've always been fascinated with these pieces, but ever since getting Zimerman's recording with his Polish Festival Orchestra, I've fallen absolutely in love. I can't decide which one I love best!!!!

So, between the two, which one is better? More difficult? More rewarding to play?
Currently working on Beethoven:
Piano Concerto in C minor, Op. 37
Piano Sonata No. 4 in E flat, Op. 7
Piano Sonata No. 23 in F minor "Appassionata", Op. 57
Piano Sonata No. 27 in E minor, Op. 90

Just have a look at both. You can buy the set on amazon.com for under 20 dollars. Both concertos sheet music.

None of them are good concerti to begin with. The e minor one is a little more dramatic, the f minor is more sensitive.
The e minor is a bit more difficult in therms of synergy with the orchestra. it also has some unpianistic passages which may not be very comfortable to play.
