A Free Grand Piano? – Scammers Target Piano Enthusiasts

If you’re in the market for a piano, be cautious of a new scam that’s targeting music lovers, businesses, schools, and churches. John Field Piano Concerto No.2/Finnish composers...
on: March 02, 2013, 06:02:55 AM
No one seems to have this piece anywhere, as an online file or in a publication.  :( Does anyone have a copy of this work? I want the full piano part, or the whole work arranged for piano solo. Thank you!  ;D

Also, if you have any scans of works by Selim Palmgren, Heino Kaski, or Erkki Melartin that AREN'T already on IMSLP, please send them to me. I've been desperately looking for various works by these Finnish composers that I can't seem to find on IMSLP or any other website that I've stumbled upon...
Currently working on:
*Prelude, Op.23 N.4 (Rachmaninoff)
*Prelude & Fugue in F major, WTC II (Bach)
...not fully decided on what else to start (most likely will be a Liszt, Schubert, or Medtner)...

Any works? I have some books but it would be easier to know what you are looking for, since I don't have much scanned. Mostly these are short pieces.

Short pieces are exactly what I was looking for! Here's a list of some of them that I've been looking for specifically:
Palmgren:
  • Spring, Op.27 (Nos. 1, 2, and 7; basically what isn't already on IMSLP)
  • Prelude, Op.67 No.1
  • Fog Figures, Op.71
  • Preludietto, Op.84 No.1
  • New Piano Sketches, Op.87
  • 4 Piano Pieces, Op.88
  • Sun and Clouds, Op.102
Kaski:
  • Prelude, Op.48 No.1 ''Pankakoski" (I already asked about this earlier in another post)
  • Karelian Rhapsody, Op.44
Melartin:
  • Symphony No.3, Op.40
  • Lyric II, Op.127
  • Pennteckningar, Op.92

I understand that some of these might not be PD, though...

I'll see what I have later today. I'll probably go to the library next week as well, so I might find some there.

Since they are not all PD I will PM you  ;)

I'm shamelessly bumping this thread, sorry!

if anybody has the 2nd Field Concerto i would be very grateful. I can only find a solo one on IMSLP and I'm not sure how much is changed from the original piano part. Also, I've tried buying it but no. 2 only comes in a set of 1,2 and 3, and i do not have $145.

If anybody has it arranged for 2 pianos that would be awesome.

Thanks in advance.

There is no 2 piano version as far as I am aware, but the full score is in the collection of the CPS and has been scanned.

Please do not post this on IMSLP.

Thankyou very much Thal,

Dying to pay homage to my Irish roots through doing a mediocre job of this concerto haha.

Thanks again mate.
