Chopin Nocturne 20 or Waltz Op. 64, No. 2
on: March 05, 2013, 06:42:16 PM
Hey guys

I'm an intermediate level student, and I would like to practice either Chopin's Nocturne 20 or Waltz Op. 64, No. 2, both in C# minor. Actually I've just tried both, and they are both a bit difficult for my current level, but I'm determined to put effort into it. My question is, which one do you think is more difficult? It seems they are officially in the same grade. In my opinion, the nocturne looks easier in most parts, but there are a few parts that makes it really challenging. What do you think? which one do you recommend? Any comment/experience will help me a lot.

Thanks :)

I play both and for me nocturne is easier. They are nearly same level, but techniqually nocturne is easier.
What pieces do you play? knowing this it will be easier to know about your abilities.
