A Half Recital Program
on: March 17, 2013, 07:59:59 AM
It has been a few years since my university senior recital, and having performed little to nothing since then because my line of work now is not related to my music degree, I have decided to get back into practice before I die. And to motivate myself I decided to work up a few pieces into what amounts to about a half of a recital.

I do not have a chosen venue yet, but maybe I will find another pianist who would like an opportunity to play a few of their pieces in preparation for something else or just for fun.

Because I have no requirements, really, other than to play well for those who would attend, as this is not for a degree or anything like it, I have chosen these pieces because they are the most enjoyable for me. I also think they are really well appreciated by audiences, generally:

1. Handel: Chanonne in G (G. 229)
2. Beethoven: Sonata Op. 81a
3. Chopin: Three of the nocturnes: Op. 27 no. 1, Op. 27 no. 2, and Op. 48 no. 1.

I'm also working toward performing Chopin's first ballade, but I decided that is going to take me too long to get ready for performance. (I also have a day job!)
