Learn to relax deeply
on: April 22, 2013, 05:24:58 AM
Im just wondering how many people here have "learned to relax deeply" while playing and how did your teacher teach you to do so? I heard this again recently from a performer and always wonder how they do it? Surely that's not the only thing they learned but I suppose to them it was the most important? Links to material, personal experience, utube, would be great, thanks!

My first piano lessons were conducted under the baleful gaze of two Doberman Pinschers, reputed in the neighbourhood to be maneaters. Being of the belief that they could smell fear, and would likely eat me if they did, learning to appear relaxed (if not to actually be it) was something of a priority.
