I always get assigned one sonata, one Bach piece, 1-3 Czerny Etudes, and about 2-3 'other' pieces.
I study until I 'pass' them, get a grade, and get a new one to work on (sometimes go back to old ones if I have a performance).
Some random works I had studied not too long ago:
- Bach 3-Voice Invention No.11 & 15
- Beethoven Sonata Op.2 No.1 in F Minor
- several etudes by Czerny from Op.299
- Haydn Sonata No.50 in D Major
- Joplin "Stoptime Rag"
- Mendelssohn Song Without Words - "Regrets"
- Tchaikovsky Valse Sentimentale Op.51/6 in F Minor
I'm currently working on the following:
- Bach 3-Voice Invention No.4
- Czerny Etudes No.14 & 18
- Chopin Mazurka Op.63 No.3 in C# Minor
- Grieg Lyric Pieces: Kobold "Puck", Op. 71, No. 3
- Haydn Sonata No.59 in Eb Major
I'll soon be starting Mozart's Adagio K.540 in B Minor
I also accompany for both of my school's high school show choirs (they're "popular" songs - although often very weird - like "It's Raining Men"), so I have actually a handful of things to do considering I'm at home and awake for only about 5-6 hours with piano practice only about 2/3 times a week lately..
