How do you know if your a piano prodigy?
on: April 22, 2013, 12:18:57 PM
Students working at the piano often undergo extreme hours of practice time in order to meet their own personal demands, which can vary from student to student. In today's music rooms there aren't too many Lang Lang's left. However, music can still be very taxing, especially, when it comes to the student's repertoire. Based on technical patterns, some music requires a bit more work than other musical scores, say grade 5, or grade 6 pieces. Within the musical confines of the structure of a composition a student can expect greater challenges than an easy grade song like "Happy Little Farmer" by Schumann, not to mention that he went mad and tried to drown himself in the Rhine River.
There are a grip of young asian performers at the piano that show prodigal level playing, but I would not go so far as to say they were a musical prodigy like Mozart.

Geniuses are often misunderstood during their time.  Perhaps it is us who don't understand, don't recognize.... Maybe there's a different meaning in the sentence.  Perhaps it really is his "a."

Of course.... we're living in modern times.  We know that we might not all recognize geniuses when we see it.  Some people need to be told.  Some people need to be informed.... That's why you let the world know "your" genius by being listed in "Bob's Who's Who of Geniuses."  For a small processing fee of $19.95 you too can let the world know you're a genius the world needs to know about.  Shipping and handling extra.  Minimal mailing fee of $4 per page.  Must wait until enough orders are in place to make bulk publication feasible, may be backordered for 6-8 weeks or more.

you should consider making a website rather than a written publication.  Less effort for you and I suspect you would actually get a few takers..

I'm just collecting money at this point. Once the quota is met, then I'll get around to the actual publication part.  Let's not get too ambitious here.

Although, yes, I am versed* in Sea Monkey.

OMG.  You didn't happen to publish something similar to that regarding college graduates, did you?  If so, i want my $19.95 back!   >:(

It makes a fine addition to your dust collectors on your shelf or a in box somewhere.

I haven't seen them for a while, but it's scam pretty much.  Pay them, get your name in their book.  Pay for that.  Pay to buy the book to see your name.

*Bob considers starting a thread where people can post their name.*  I could charge... maybe $3 for a name listing, give Nils a $1 from that.  Then sit back and coast.

Do you have something in other fields as well? I could use a masters in legal science (they must have made a mistake somewhere because I never received mine). How much for a new one? Or maybe you have something slightly used, but in good condition?

Sure.  We got what you want.  And if we don't, you can make your own and we'll sell you that.  No money?  No problem.  You can get a loan.

Well, the prices... They don't go down.  In fact, they're maintaining a stable level with the current cost of living. Some say that means the cost is going up, but it's just keeping up with inflation, cost of living, etc.  We're planning on building a new building so there's that.... and then there's actually building the building which costs money... and then there's paying off the building we just built... all these things cost money.  You've got good credit though, right?  You can take a out a loan to pay for it all.  You won't notice a thing (until six months after you graduate).  In fact, it will be a like a little vacation (until you graduate).

Second degree?  Sure.  Doctorate?  Sure.  (As long as you pay for it.)

I know! I can sell my piano and use the money to get a degree in piano performance! Would save me all this practicing and frustration  :P

Who are the asian performers you speak of ? They must be legendary in order to be considered prodigies. Or if their parents say "Darling, here is a very nice promoter I want you to meet, he's a very nice man , he knows lots of people that will pay to hear you "  .  Now that is a prodigy.
