Chopin - Op. 9, No. 2 (Partial)
on: April 30, 2013, 05:45:46 PM
Attached is a Partial of Chopin's Nocturne in Eb Major. I would appreciate any suggestions, I am still working on the ending. The tempo is still a little slow, but I don't want to speed it up until I have the rhythm and structure down.

There are a lot of reading errors-you had better check your score to see that you are playing all the correct notes. Additionally, your playing really lacks forward momentum, or 'flow'.

I would recommend against performing part of a piece until the entire piece is learned!

As Mr _o said, check all the notes. You have misread quite a few of them. Secondly, make sure you don't to false accents. The left hand should have the "accent" on the bass note, not the second chord. You play on two THREE one two THREE. Also figure out where you want the actual accents. They can't be on every beat, cause you'll lose the movement. Think of how someone would sing it. The accents are mostly on the 1st and 3rd beat.

I think you'd benefit from reading some theory, because these things are written in every good theory book.
