Liszt, Concert Etude No. 3
on: May 05, 2013, 10:30:42 PM
I'm getting this concert etude ready for a concert. The first and only take.
Look for a new documentary on Public Broadcasting, "LISZT IN THE WORLD," a biographical take on Franz Liszt and his role in shaping music history, made by filmmakers and musicians (esp. Cecil Lytle) at U.C.S.D.

Great job on the Liszt Concert Etude, and I think you'll do a great job when the concert rolls by!
Keep up the great work!

Thanks for your kind words, piano6888. I don't know which is harder, playing live for an appreciative audience, or recording for critique on PS. It's tempting to keep recording, searching for that note-perfect rendition, but it's easy to get fatigued and lose one's musicianship after several run-throughs. For me the first time is usually the best, even if there is a missed note or two.
