Does anyone of you have a soundcloud?
on: May 08, 2013, 02:09:33 PM
It's rather ironic that I myself don't have eh  ;D yeah sorry, I think I'm not ready to expose my playing yet to the public. (Should this be in the audition room BTW?)

In any case, I'm curious to hear from you guys. Do you actually have accounts there, and do you frequently post your recordings? I'd love to hear them. Thanks!

Hello, I've got a soundcloud account, I've got a recording of a piano concerto I wrote and recorded as well as some hymn arrangements:)

I'm working on it.  I bought a Shure KSM27 mike last year to do justice to my piano's tone. I hate cellphone piano sound, you may as well use cassette tape.

Yep, I have a soundcloud. But its funky instrumentals and small compositions I wrote in my spare time, using samples and playing guitar and keys and writing the drums. also using samples here and there...

I have an account but so far I have only uploaded one song and that was mostly for testing.

Yes, but I've only put up tracks for testing.  Not too thrilled by the download/sound limits.  One would need to go to the "Pro Unlimited" plan to change that.

Jamendo seems interesting.  The focus on copyleft licensing is attractive to me.  However, the new interface needs work IMO.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

Yes, I do! Please listen, enjoy, and let me know what you think!
I've only had the account for a few months so far, but I've got 20 sounds up so far, including 7 of the Chopin Etudes (the rest are currently in post-production), various works by French Baroque masters, and several of the great duets for four hands with my girlfriend.

I assume the megabyte limits depend on the kind of account?  How costly are the different kinds of accounts, and with what limitations?

I was trying to figure all that out on their website the other day but was having trouble locating the information.  (The 20MB limit here on Piano Street appears to rule out any long works.)
