Critique of My Performance?
on: May 12, 2013, 04:29:49 AM
Hi all.  The link below contains my recording of Debussy's Deux Arabesques #1.  Can any of you please give me your criticism of my performance?

I am a sophomore in high school by the way. :)

You need to work on your pacing. While it's true that your speed should vary in places for this piece, it's often too much, with sections that are way too fast colliding into sections that are really quite slow.

The good news is those are easier things to fix. And your voicing is nice, too.

Rushed in places, you need to work on that rubato to get that dreamlike quality of debussy...

If you move this to the Audition Room, you may get more response.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach
