Just need to express.  Here is a snippet, just the opening, measures 1-35.

DO NOT USE any pedal in the part right before the left hand trill.
Also, in the part right before the ornaments, after you set your bass, DO NOT CLEAR your pedal.
Also, you used so much Ritardando, that the parts where I am supposed to hear the rit., it just disappeared.

Lovely opening.

Pretty good start, and here is a suggestion on the eighth notes, try to have a consistent tempo and correct note values, it seems like some notes you are holding them longer than usual. Also chopin2015 sums it up pretty well :)

I agree with all the posts so far. Also, I think adding a little rubato from measures 1-5 would add more musicality to the beginning of the piece. Great job! Maybe you could post another recording of the piece when you complete it?

hopfully this isn't to late: i myself played this ballade in a masterclass by dina yoffe (2nd prize at chopin international piano competition 1975 after no less then zimerman), and she really highlighted the fact that the chords following the right hand each time shuld sound very soft as if marked pianissimo or sotto voce. plus, the first theme shuold be more orginized and a bit more Metronomic (not like a robot but still). you should also pay more attention and emphasize the first and fourth bit at the 6\4 part (G--D--C-----G--E--F#.....)
hope this was helpul.

The great early 20th-century composer Alexander Scriabin left us 74 published opuses, and several unpublished manuscripts, mainly from his teenage years – when he would never go to bed without first putting a copy of Chopin’s music under his pillow. All of these scores (220 pieces in total) can now be found on Piano Street’s Scriabin page. Read more
