I don't remember it being around that long, either.  My mom got the first microwave that came out, and I think I was 9 years old.  Remember the first microwave ovens?  They were these big honkin things that had a dial. LOL

Yes, the first message sent from one computer to another was on Oct 29, 1969 at some university in the states by Leonard Kleinrock

I think the Web was only made public in around 1992. So you were only 4 years behind. I first got onto the web around 1994.

LOL to Janbo...Yes, I remember when they first came out (microwaves)

We were the first house in the neighborhood to get one. My brother and I each got to invite 8 friends over to watch us do a hot dog. We all stood in a half circle in the kitchen while my father hooked it up....and were told to "Stand Back" and he turned the huge dial to start it LOL.....As it began we all "oohed and aahed", then when the bell went off and we took it out, everyone got to feel how it was hot, but the oven was not! We could not get over it! We were amazed! LOL. Then we did a couple more and I remember cutting them up and putting toothpicks in them and everyone got to taste one! Thinking back, it's hilarious! Guess we all needed more of a life back then, huh! ;D ;D ;D

.....don't even get me started on calculators you didn't have to plug in!!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Oh my god! You lived in the age of the dinosaurs...no offense or anything.

I've never seen an "8 track" or whatever the hell they where to be replaced by VHS.

I remember those big @$$ LP laser discs...

And I know how to use one of those umm...SUPER OLD SCHOOL players where you put that giant disc and have to manually put the needle on those things...what are they called?
