Again, a performance from last year - managed to reduce background noise etc, so, the sound is now much better.

It's a real gem, the gesänge der fruhe! Late Schumann is so underrated

I agree. I'm working on the Piano Quartet right now, not exactly late Schumann (he wrote it in 1842), but it's full of good stuff. He did suffer a good deal at the end from whatever psychosis he had (schizophrenia? tertiary syphilis?). I wonder how much of that spilled into his compositions.

Beautiful playing! This was my first time hearing the work and I couldn't possibly have asked for a more touching and masterful rendition! Very advanced pedal technique helps your sound to glow and exude warmth.

I'd love to hear you playing more Schumann!  :'(
