Good Classical Sheets and Sites
on: May 22, 2013, 12:31:29 AM
I've never been into playing classical music, but I've heard some songs that I wouldn't mind learning, I never could catch the name of them though.

So my questions are..

1. What are some pretty pieces you would suggest?
2. this isn't as big of a deal, but something that would be suitable for about a level 5 student?
3. Are there are good sites where you can download the music for free?

Something other than Fur Elise? lol That is usually the first thing that everyone suggests, I am currently working on it.

Thanks for the response. :)

Maybe you could handle Debussy's first arabesque, it's a really good piece, maybe Chopin's fourth prelude, it's pretty easy.

Edit:

Edward Macdowell's "To a wild rose" it's really melodically beatiful, and it's suitable for a grade 5 student. Check it out:
