Senior Recital this weekend -- thought I'd share the program with everyone :)
on: May 24, 2013, 02:19:34 AM
Hi all,
I'm giving my senior recital this weekend (super exciting!!) and wanted to share my program with you all. All these pieces are near and dear to my heart and I think they make a nice mix of eclectic and well-known music.
Bach: French Suite #5 in G Major, BWV 813
Mozart: Fantasie and Sonata in C Minor, K. 475/457
Bartok: Suite for Solo Piano, Op. 14
Schumann: Abegg Variations, Op. 1
and finally, an original composition for violin and piano that I wrote two years ago and has been a finalist in both state and national composition competitions.
For an encore, I was thinking either the Chopin Fantasie-Impromptu or the Op. 10/9 F Minor etude.

Currently Studying: Bach P&F 1 and 2 from WTC I, Mozart Sonata #6, Book I of Mendelssohn's Songs Without Words, and Beethoven's Sonata No. 13

Really really interesting programme. Not your typical concert fare.. I love that bartok between the mozart and the schumann. Will be curious to hear your composing. Most definitely the fantasy-impromptu.
