say something about the person above you
on: October 31, 2004, 11:17:28 AM
another timewasting thread. so what you're supposed to do is write something about the person who has posted before you. so say if bernhard had posted before me then i would say he is the god of this forum. and it can be any random comment you like, provided it's not rude or mean!

so someone start!

The poster above me is not really above me, literally, because if she was, it would make for some awkward questions if someone came in and saw us in such a position.

To the person below me, (oh god...) be careful with what you say...

The person above me is mad about Ravel and when talking to him it is a superhuman challenge trying to change the subject, because he always changes it back.  I think he is a good person-if we met up in real life, Im sure we would be great friends who play concertos together and such.

The person above me is someone I think is cool by being "uncool" in a way to defy the norm of high school by understanding classics instead of eminem or rap or whatever.  he also takes the time to plan ahead for uni and studies and takes live seriously, but enjoyably.
I'd like to play the Tontentaz or whatever its called for 4 hands with him perhaps one day I make the 3 hour trek north.

Not all at to the above.  I got my appropriate share of goodies.  Anyways...what is really authentically Australian food?  Pretty much everything I saw there was some version of a North American dish with some modifications.. I thought you guys had delicacies like Crocadile eggs or rattlesnake for breakfast.  Man...I was dissappointed in that.

And I have an imaginative mind for things yes....it helps me compose.

And I do not write in sentence fragments (90% of the time) thank you very much!  >:(

IThe person above me is extremely talented, and if for some reason we were to ever meet, I'm sure that I would learn alot from this young man.   I have a friend from college who would stay home on Friday nites while the rest of us went out, and he would practically write a symphony!  You remind me of my good friend, as you are both extremely talented!

The person above me plays piano for Sunday Church Service.  She is nice and thoughtful.  She finds herself in the religious debate threads a lot.

The person above me postsmaterial of a sexually suggestive nature about austrailians. (its ok, hes just saying stuff we all think about but dont have enough balls to say) (haha-pie.. :))  he is only a three hour drive from my house and studies business at NAIT.  He has a cushy office accountant job as well.  I think the first time I recognized him on the forum was way back when he posted something about performing Mazeppa..hhmmmcant really remember.  I think he spends a lot of time behind the computer and uses his fast touch typing skills to post so much in so little time.  I respect him a great deal and would love to play Liszt's Totentanz with him one day!  I am thinking about going into business school at university.  hhmm maybe one day Spatula and I can put our skills together and open a piano shop. hmmmm lets usurp power from long and mcquade..

What!??! Me a sexual predator! how absurd! (hahah giggles because it's the quasi truth)

But btw I study at SAIT... the southern version of NAIT.  BOO! Long and McQuade they rented me a really lously trumpet for grade 6 and 7 elementary school band and didn't give me any discounts or refunds! BOO!

Bah...my work is getting tougher because I'm the dude that's incharge for paying ALL the bills that comes through (my cushy acct job) and if stuff doesn't get paid on time...then I'm off to the guilotine.

And who or what is Mazeppa? My first repertoire I mentioned was Chop's Fan Imp and having difficulty doing it HT.

I never bothered with exams..I just play for my enjoyment and love for Liszt.  I should probably shape up and take an exam so I have something to put on my resume, but I just dont know where to start learning and what pieces I should play....

Is there a list anywhere where I could see what works belong in that repertoire and measure myself up?

Just send Bernhard an IM, he's usually very good at judging the difficulty, even though most of it is somewhat subjective.

The person above me has alot to say... And doesn't hesitate to say it. He shares his opinion openly and asks some interesting questions. Although he may be a spatula, he would probably be an entertaining fellow if I were to meet him.    ;)

I'm curious to see where I would rank up. I'm guessing Ondine would be like a 92? :p

The person above me most likely spends more time on the computer rather than the piano. However, unlike some people whose high post counts are attributed to spam, Spatula makes very good and worthwhile posts, and makes interesting threads for discussion. I also like his name ;).

The person above me likes to "sigh" alot.  He still doesn't explain why he sighed when I suggested that buying sheet music cd's are great.
I guess he's too good to bother explaining himself.

The person above me thinks I like to sigh a lot, and he's right.
