Bach Siciliano (Kempff transcription)
on: June 13, 2013, 09:25:56 PM
Hello  :)

I'm currently working on Bach's Siciliano from his second flute sonata. I have Kempff's transcription at the moment, but my hand span is too small for some of the chords. Should I play them as broken chords? If so, should I do it slowly or fast so that nobody would understand that I cannot reach them? I haven't finished the whole piece, still struggling with that part. Any advice?

Break them, fast. Be careful to catch the bass with the pedal.

OK, it makes it harder to sightread, I wish my hands were bigger  :(
Thanks a lot :)
