Two notes at once...?
on: June 23, 2013, 06:51:08 PM
Is it kosher to play two notes at once with the thumb?

For example in bar 6 of Traumerei.  With the right hand.
I can't think of another way to reach that.
I have looked at youtube and people seem to reaching it quite easy, so they must
be rolling the D A E just playing the other three notes via the thumb?  I can just
BARELY reach an octave with my 2nd to 5th fingers on my right hand... so I'm
gonna just have to do that.... with the thumb.

Kosher, and sometimes essential.
