Why is Ravel's Ondine in C sharp major, not D flat major ??
Currently working on:
Debussy: Images Book 2 No.2
Ravel: Sonatine Menuet
Haydn: Sonata XVI/25
Mussourgsky: The Great Gate of Kiev

Hmm, I don't know.  That's a good question.

Maybe it has to do with the piece changing keys like 6 times.

Maybe it's his favourite key, it's mine.
Currently learning:

Satie Je Te Veux            Rach C#m
Poulenc Bal Fantome       Chopin 28/20

Ease of reading?  If it were in D-flat, you'd be dealing with a double flat right from the very first bar.

Take Your Seat! Trifonov Plays Brahms in Berlin
