The Quiet Revolutionary of the Piano – Fauré’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

In the pantheon of French music, Gabriel Fauré (1845–1924) often seems a paradox—an innovator cloaked in restraint, a Romantic by birth who shaped the contours of modern French music with quiet insistence. Classic Bosendorfers

Hello forum,

I have been interested for a while in having an old Bosendorfer.  Here are some examples (I live in Budapest so ignore the Hungarian language, or use Google if you're interested in translations):

https://www.zeneszapro.hu/hirdetesek/jofef-berger-becsi-zongora-1872-1873

The prices are around £500-£1,000.  I find that absolutely amazing for such an old, classic piano.

They work, they sound good (I tried some).  Does anybody have any interesting banter surrounding such classic Bosendorfers?  I'd love to have one in my living room rather than some modern, massively expensive jobby.

Thanks in advance for responses,

Dan
