Just gorgeous!
If the Schumann haters around here aren't converted by that they are truly beyond hope.
I do hope you are doing Book 2 as well.

Thanks for the kind words. I am a hard core Schumann fan, and Op. 6 is one of my favorites.
Here is Book 2:

Both books sound exquisite to my ears. Thank you for posting this, Ariel. Played with great depth and maturity.
I don't think there are many Piano Street Schumann-haters, j_menz, only one I know of off-hand, and, in spite of his 12,000+ posts, he has issues and is best ignored.

Hi ariel,
I listened to both Books 1 and 2 and thoroughly enjoyed your renditions. Your playing is wonderfully expressive in bringing out all of the contrasting moods. Congratulations on your very fine performance of this important extended work of Schumann.

Very well done! I've literally heard dozens different recordings of these pieces (being a huge Schumann fan myself) and even after hearing so many legendary pianists play them, I am impressed by your musical insight and technical precision. You should be very proud of this recording.

Thank you all for the warm comments. This was a major project and it took the better part of six months to prepare. I hope to keep it in my active repertoire, but it is not easy given the magnitude of the piece. I am now working on a whole new program and I hope to post some new stuff from a recital in Paris next month.
