Sheet Music Plus -- August Sale?
on: July 26, 2013, 08:55:15 PM
Hi there!  I have just prepared my August shopping list of music books, and am now ready to order from Sheet Music Plus...  Does anyone of you know if they normally hold a sale in August?  If so, I would rather hold on to my order till the beginning of the sale...

I have yet to see any site-wide sales. They often do publisher sales of 20% off, but I haven't noticed any patterns with when these happen, and, presumably, you are ordering works from a variety of publishers, so it probably doesn't help much anyway. Their sales only really work well if you have a large list of things you would like to buy, and then when you see a sale, find which of things you wanted are on sale and get them.

Edit: I noticed you also posted this in the teaching forum. If you're a music teacher, you can get 8% back on all your orders, I think. You'd have to look into that.

Thanks, davidjosepha!  You have answered my question perfectly!  And, yes, I know about the 8% teachers' discount -- love it!! :)

Indeed there seems to be no pattern to their sales. Every now and again they also offer postage free as well.

Out of the myriads of large sheet music retailers, they would get my vote for reliability, cost and accurate delivery times.
