I need a happy modern piece
on: August 11, 2013, 03:49:37 AM
I had a lesson with a concert pianist today and she said my audition program looks good except I'm missing a happy piece. I need a happy piece in there. And I don't have a modern piece yet, so I might as well kill 2 birds with one stone

Any suggestions are welcome, try not to have it be a ridiculous piece.

Do you need a renowned artist or may I suggest something way more obscure?

A happy piece?!

Are you kidding-

A happy-

You don't need a happy piece!!!  What matters is the quality of what you play that's all!!! >:(

Here I got you...

The second prelude is probably the happiest of the bunch.

You might as well tell them to just play a couple Chopin pieces...  ::) :( >:( :-\
Debussy Pour le Piano
Chopin Etude 10/5, 10/9
Beethoven Sonata 2/2, 10/3
Bach P&F no. 7 WTC 1
Ligeti Musica Ricercata 10

Try this one:

I chose "the banjo" gottschalk

It's a hell of a lot of fun!
