How should you pronounce the word music while singing?

Is there a correct or a typically incorrect way of pronouncing it?

Is it moosic? Mewsic? Like a cat meow? Or is that wrong? I thought pure vowels were the goal.

Oh, well for what I have heard back in school it is Mew-zic. Like a cat indeed.

Hm. Is there a standard way for handling dipthongs? Fast Me- so you get to the too faster and hold that sound out? It can't be meeeee-oooo-sic, right? The mew part should be kind of like a grace note, crushed on the beat, right?

Get the book, "a singers manual of English diction" and stop guessing one letter at a time...

Its pronunciation depends on where within your register it is being sung - it might need to be modified. It also depends on what a director thinks s/he wants to hear, and whether you are in a group setting or singing solo. It also depends on what language you're singing in. Basically, it depends. I don't remember ever singing the word, but I'm sure I have at some point.
