Any thoughts?
It's a technique book.

I love it! But then again, many people might not because it has boring repetition. Personally, those boringly-repetitious exercises serve a purpose, at least to ME. I am NOT a morning person, however Hanon & Pischna are great tools to WARM UP THE FINGERS! Especially on a cold day or when you have just crawled outta bed and you don't want to think or talk!

I agree... Hanon and Pischna compliment each other nicely. Hanon builds dexterity, speed and control. Pischna strengthens the hands and gets the finger muscles working independently. Don't overdo Pischna, or you will be too strained to continue practice. Really.
Do you exercise? I equate Hanon to the aerobic portion of a workout, and Pischna to set training with heavy weights.

Well, my recently new teacher says it really isn't useful and wastes time. Besides, his teacher's teacher was Claudio Arrau, so we have someone professional backing that up.
