And what do you think patience means?

And what do you think patience means?

A patient is usually someone who suffers. So you could say that patience is suffering (experiencing something negative) but with the hope of something positive. So the purpose must be to wait for the positive, without forcing events. :)
No amount of how-to information is going to work if you have the wrong mindset, the wrong guiding philosophies. Avoid losers like the plague, and gather with and learn from winners only.

I'm going back about 50 years or so here but I recall my mother speaking of it as a matter of virtue more so than having a given purpose.
Depressing the pedal on an out of tune acoustic piano and playing does not result in tonal color control or add interest, it's called obnoxious.

Patience means one does not waste the time before something happens fretting that it has not yet done so.

Haha. Might have something to do with threads like this?

What is the purpose of the patience for threads that ask "what is the purpose/meaning of..."   Hmmmm?  Haha.

Hmm... The purpose of patience is the ability to wait, for things to be better/improved in the future.

There.  Because you get stuff if you're patient.  That's why.
