Teachers with Dubious Backgrounds
on: September 03, 2013, 08:48:38 AM
What do you do about teachers who lie about their credentials and prey on parents and beginning students?   There's a particular teacher in my area that's lying about his/her credentials.  I've recently stumbled on his/her website again and it actually seems like he/she is doing better than when I had my experience with him/her.  Is it typical for people to get away with things like this with no repercussions?

Anyone have similar experiences?

@swagmaster420x:  Older than you.

Me messing with him is not something I'm proud of, but I told it how it was.

Women and the Chopin Competition: Breaking Barriers in Classical Music

The piano, a sleek monument of polished wood and ivory keys, holds a curious, often paradoxical, position in music history, especially for women. While offering a crucial outlet for female expression in societies where opportunities were often limited, it also became a stage for complex gender dynamics, sometimes subtle, sometimes stark. From drawing-room whispers in the 19th century to the thunderous applause of today’s concert halls, the story of women and the piano is a narrative woven with threads of remarkable progress and stubbornly persistent challenges.
