how 2 appreciate music

whe ni listen to slow pieces like nocturnes etc that are supposed to be so beautfiaul , i need to make a conscious effort to pay VEWRY close attentio nto the music to be interested, otherwise it's really boring for me
am i an uncultured barbarian pls respond y is classical music so boring

omg cereally, tho -.- not getting bored while listenoimg to piano music takes so much effort, does this apply to anyone? ofc if the song is one that i recognize/like, it's ezier.

^ this is probably my favorite song, i was spellbound, handel/lizst is a genius, if only for this piece. i havent ever listened to a random work without getting bored other than mephisto waltz/this piecel.

does any1 else have this problem??? clasical music is 2 refined

This is normal. Classical music can be very wonderful to listen carefully to. As soon as something else requires your attention and it becomes relegated to being background music, you'd probably be better off with some actual background music.

Do you play a second instrument?

Anyway, there's lots of different classical music, some more exciting than others. I'm not interested in all of it, either. And the piano can play all kinds of music. Try some Japanese heavy metal.
