How hard is Prokofiev's third concerto? compare it to other concertos like Rach 2, rach 3, Brahms 1, and Totentantz concerto by liszt

Rach 2 and Totentanz aren't that bad.

For the rest, it doesn't matter.  They're all hard.

are you kidding? rach 2 is a beast. im learning mvmt 1 right now and all i can say.....the entire thing is super awkward. id say (as of now) its harder technically than ravels gaspard de la nuit mvmt 1.
back to your original question, i dont think prok 3 is considered to be one of the "hard" concertos. as far as i know, rach 3, brahms 1, rhapsody on paganini are the super hard ones. so i would say its one of the easier ones on your list.

lol you are nuts dude, Rach 2 is a CAKE WALK compared to prok 3 and rach 3, and a bit easier than brahms 1.  Rhapsody on a theme of paganini? that is probably the easiest rach concerto.  You haven't even looked at any of the notes so it seems.  There is no way that rach 2 first mov is harder than ondine lol.

well, we all have different tastes in difficulty. i wouldn't say rach 2 is a "cakewalk" compared to prok 3 or rach 3(well maybe rach 3). there are several extremely awkward spots in rach 2(cough cough piu mosso) and extremely wide reaches. having performed ondine several times i find rach 2 more "awkward" to play(at least for now).

Wait until you get to the 3rd movement.  There are a few measures that makes me want to kill babies.
