Some Medtner, Rameau and Couperin

Medtner op 26 nr 3
Rameau Les tendres plaintes
Couperin Les barricades mysterieuses

This is from towards the end of a recital I had this Sunday. Having already played Lindberg, Chopin, Ravel Gaspard, Beethoven and some Szymanowski, I was getting a bit tired, so, bear in mind that there are imperfections here! First public performance of all of the three pieces, by the way. A few Debussy etudes finished the recital, but I doubt I'll post those

Sweet!

My pupil is playing the op. 26 no.3 but he isn't nearly as good as you. Very lyrical playing! Medtner is the greatest composer for piano very few people know! Lovely atmosphere, and good rubato.

Lovely trills in the Rameau. Rameau is one of my favourite  Baroque composers to play! Have you tried the Cyclops or the Niais de Sologne? They are also from this sweet and would make lovely contrast to Les Tendres Plaintes. Beautiful and sensitive playing!

Sorry, I couldn't seem to find the Couperin.... which is a shame because that one is my FAVOURITE and I play it every day!

Hi fnork,

I just now listened to the Medtner.  Your playing of this music is very convincing.  Very nice!
