Not to shamelessly selfpromote, but...
on: September 18, 2013, 06:40:27 PM
...here's my website. It's still in need of some serious trimming, changing of layout and whatnot, but it's there now, with all of its imperfections. Have a look if you like!

You should definitely invest the small amount it costs to have a real website (with the URL of your choice). The thing you do now seems pretty unprofessional.

That might be a next step, yes, but I care more for content than design. Because I suppose you'd be criticizing me for the latter in the first place, and not the former..?

I think it looks fine. And glad to see you've take the plunge!

One quibble - sometimes you refer to yourself as "I", and sometimes in the third person as "Martin". I prefer the former, as it seems more personal, but either way, pick one and stick to it.

j_menz, I actually disagree with that slightly - I think using 3rd person in a bio is perfectly normal, while when you're describing projects you're doing, as well as writing more personal things such as blog posts, I rather use the "I" format. Makes sense? The bio is more formal, a blog post/description of projects are less so.

Makes sense?

Yeah, but I will continue to find it irritating.

Well, the point is duly noted. I'll keep it in mind, but somehow I like being able to use both forms. As long as it's not confusing!
