pedal

Pax!
So I am learning this aria by Händel:
https://www.rowy.net/coll/xmp/Handel/pd/Aria%20Lascia%20ch%20io%20pianga%20vl%20pf.png
It beginns with two F chords. If I play these two chords with a pedal I can release (or whatever it's called) my hand and then press down the keys again. That's easy. When I did the exact same thing without the pedal it was completely another thing. When I released my hand to press down the keys again I could hear a very small pause (I don't like that). That's obviously due to the fact that no peal was used. What should I do?

You don't need any pedal to play this beautifully. In fact, I would recommend you just avoid the pedal altogether for this one.
