Szymanowski

What do you all think of his piano music. I personally think it is some of the most exciting and powerful I have ever heard. My faves so far are The Variations on a Polish Theme, The op 33 etudes and the Fantasia op 14. Tell what you else you guys enjoy or if you think his music sucks.

I've heard his Etudes Op. 4 and Mazurkas Op. 50 and I liked them a lot. I wanted to get more works on CD by this composer, so thanks for reminding me.

his op4 no3 is IMO one of the most beautiful pieces ever composed
his musical progression is comparable to that of scriabin - the more traditional romantic to start off with - then experimenting more and more with harmony and tonality as their careers progressed.
