tempo for scriabin etude op 8 n 11?

Hi,
The score indicates the tempo as being 63, but it seems that pianists play it much slower. what's the correct tempo for this piece?

That's crotchet = 63. Andante cantabile. Seems to me most pianists are about right, at least most notable ones. Horowitz, Richter etc...

Who do you think is "much slower"? Or are you thinking quaver=63?

Thank you. I checked again, and you're right. Even more recent recordings, such as garrick ohlsson, are in fact just about this tempo, although with a lot o rubato. it's the type of piece that gives you the impression of being slower than it is.
