Liszt Paganini Etude No 5
on: October 26, 2013, 07:09:34 AM
I'm currently learning this piece and noticed that at the large scale in sixths it says glissando. Does this mean I should glissando with my hand or play it as a really fast scale. I can do either although I have never played a piece with notated glissando.

Thanks

Glissando with one finger from each hand. It needs to be very light, and I suspect playing it as scales will not give the right effect, however adept you may be at them.

Thank you. I had listened to recordings but they sounded so perfectly executed I could not be sure.
