Rondo Capriccioso Op.14 E Major - Mendelssohn
on: November 07, 2013, 12:41:45 PM
Hi all,

Can someone tell me if there is alternate fingering to the 14, 15, 16th bars in the Presto section. I do not know if it is me, but the fingering that they give I find a bit awkward (5-1-3-2-1-5-4-3-2-1-5-4-2-1), or is this the type of passage that one goes over and over until the muscle memory knows what to do?

Thanks,

Al

Hi. You mean this fragment?(thats 14-16 bar for me)

Also you mean left hand i supose? As you can see I have 5-1-3-2-1-5-4-1-3-2-1-5-4-1-2 and it's perfect, for me at least.

Yes on both!! It is one of those type of movements that you have to trust that your forearm and fingers know exactly how much to move. Thanks!!!!!
