Online piano competition
on: February 26, 2003, 08:21:29 PM
Hi all,
This is about the piano "competition" that I will be setting up. I will be setting up an MSN community just for this purpose, the website will be posted in a little while.
This is how it will work:
There will be three rounds.
(Everyone who wants to join (and please remember, I'm doing this as something fun/inspiring you all can work on; it will require A LOT of my free time... but with more expected snow, hopefully this will give me plenty of time to work on it... and hopefully it will be fun for us all, no matter what level we're on!) )
In each round people will be eliminated... the last round will be the final.... aaargh this is too complicated to explain here... I will hopefully get the basics up and running on my MSN community... I'll post the address in a couple of hours. For those who wish to sign up/express interest in this, please say so.
Anyway, as I said, the MSN community will be A LOT more informative. And yes, the competition will take place over quite a long period of time, so it's not like you have to make the recording within a day's notice... probably 2-4 weeks between each round.
I'm really excited about this, and hopefully many people will join. I promise that I will make this as fun as possible!
(and I will not only be judging... it will be sort of like "American Idol..." we all get to participate.
I will get the address to the website in a couple of hours...

Dear Sarah, thanks for your enthusiasm... this is a lot of work!!!
Anyway, I now have a MSN community up and running... there's not a lot of information on it yet, but as I get people to "sign up" (remember, this is totally free) then I will post more information on when the first round will be, recording tips, etc.
Well, please check the site out, and see what you think! I really hope that many people join... this will hoefully be something really fun for everybody, all ages and levels.
If you click on "piano competition" (on the left side) then it will give you some information about this competition. If you are interested, please submit as it asks you, there.
Here's the official site:

I hope you all enjoy this!
